Making Future – Future Making

How rapid practice of assemblage, emphasizing the reuse of materials (ready-made) can generate speculative tools to interact with one surrounding?

In this workshop, participants immerse themselves in speculative design and tool creation to aid in conducting interviews and gathering information. The workshop focuses on lowering barriers to communication and information gathering. Participants delve into the concepts of assemblage, emphasizing the reuse of materials (ready-made).

Adopting an expedition-like approach, participants craft portable units/devices that facilitate information collection, recording, and comfort during interactions with diverse individuals.

The workshop provides hands-on experience with various construction techniques and materials, alongside an introduction to effective workshop facility utilization. It encourages innovative thinking and practical skills in field research and design, supporting students’ studio work for the social design project.

Engagement is a key element of our aging activism.
