User involvement
We understand user participation is a dynamic process combining modern technology and traditional methods to authentically understand users' needs and desires.
We are not just designers; we are storytellers. Using film, we capture narratives and human moments, transcribing these into visual and textual sketches to reveal deeper layers of user experience.
We value every voice in the local community, documenting conversations to reflect and analyze interactions later. Each short film serves as a window into affective spatial relationships, forming a continuous dialogue between architect and user. Authentic conversations are recorded whenever possible, capturing immediate reflections and opinions. Transcriptions provide unfiltered insights into user needs.
Participants can easily provide feedback via QR codes, offering immediate access to valuable data and perspectives. During workshops, we also use tactile methods like postcards, encouraging participants to write down their thoughts and ideas. Additionally, we construct pavilions to gather people’s stories and employ interactive surveys to gain insights from unexpected stakeholders. This holistic method of user involvement places people at the heart of the design process across generations.
Our approach at Greymatter aims to create processes that genuinely resonates with users. We translate their wishes and thoughts into concrete architectural proposals deeply rooted in real needs.
Engagement is a key element of our aging activism.
